Legal

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Local AI Page handles information when people browse the directory, create accounts, manage business profiles, or send requests to businesses.

Effective August 6, 2026

Information we collect

We collect information you provide, including account details, business profile information, claim materials, notification preferences, customer requests submitted through lead forms, and reviews. A lead may include a name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, requested service, message, and contact preference. A review may include a display name, private email address, rating, title, written comments, verification status, and an optional business response.

We also collect limited technical and usage information, such as pages viewed, interactions with phone and website buttons, lead-form activity, browser and device information, security events, and anonymous or pseudonymous session identifiers. We do not intentionally store raw IP addresses in profile analytics.

How we use information

  • Operate, secure, and improve the directory and account tools.
  • Publish and maintain business profiles and service-area information.
  • Review business claims and provide authorized profile access.
  • Deliver customer requests to authorized business recipients.
  • Verify and moderate reviews and display approved review content.
  • Provide profile, lead, and review analytics.
  • Detect spam, fraud, abuse, and technical problems.
  • Generate or organize profile content using AI-assisted tools with human review.
  • Communicate about accounts, verification, security, leads, reviews, and service changes.

How information is shared

When a visitor submits a lead, the supplied information is shared with the business’s authorized owners, managers, and any additional verified notification recipient selected by that business. We also use service providers that support hosting, authentication, databases, email delivery, security, analytics, and AI-assisted content generation. These providers process information on our behalf under their own contractual and security obligations.

Approved review content, the reviewer’s display name, rating, review date, and verification indicators may be public. Reviewer email addresses are not public. If a person separately checks an optional marketing-consent box, the relevant business may view and export that person’s consented contact information on eligible plans. Email and text-message consent are separate, are not required to submit a request or review, and can be withdrawn from the business.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, to investigate abuse, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition. We do not sell personal information for money.

Public business information

Business names, categories, services, service areas, contact details, logos, descriptions, and similar listing information may be publicly visible and indexed by search engines. Some information may come from business submissions or publicly available sources. Business owners can claim eligible profiles and request corrections.

Cookies, security, and abuse prevention

We use essential cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session continuity, anonymous analytics, preferences, rate limiting, and security.

Google reCAPTCHA

We use Google reCAPTCHA v3 on selected forms, including sign-in, sign-up, password recovery, and customer request forms. reCAPTCHA helps us distinguish legitimate activity from automated traffic and protect Local AI Page, its users, and listed businesses from spam, fraud, credential abuse, and other malicious activity. It operates in the background and may assign a risk score to an interaction.

For this security analysis, reCAPTCHA may process information such as IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating-system information, page and form interactions, timestamps, referring URLs, and identifiers stored in cookies or similar technologies. Google states that reCAPTCHA sets the _GRECAPTCHA cookie when it runs for risk analysis. This processing may begin when a protected form is used.

We use reCAPTCHA for security and abuse prevention, not to build advertising profiles or deliver targeted advertising. Google processes reCAPTCHA information on our behalf in accordance with its applicable service and data-processing terms. Our use of reCAPTCHA is also governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and applicable service terms.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain accurate records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet legal obligations, and protect the platform. Retention periods vary by data type. Information may remain in backups for a limited period after deletion.

Your choices and rights

You may update supported account and business-profile information through the account dashboard. You may also request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to identity verification and legal exceptions. Businesses that receive lead or consented marketing-contact information are responsible for their own lawful use, retention, unsubscribe handling, and messaging practices.

Children

Local AI Page is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should protect their credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the latest version. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email when appropriate.
